What is SES Hospedajes and what is the deadline?
SES Hospedajes is the Ministry of the Interior platform where accommodation anywhere in Spain except Catalonia and the Basque Country reports its guests’ details within 24 hours of their arrival (Royal Decree 933/2021).
What ways are there to file the report with SES Hospedajes?
- ✓The form on the portal: you type in each traveller by hand
- ✓An XML batch file: you upload one file with the details of one or several submissions
- ✓The web service (SOAP): connected software files the reports for you
Only the web service lets the filing go out on its own. It is the route that check-in software such as BookCheckin works on.

- ✓The lessor code (código de arrendador) and the establishment code (código de establecimiento), both under «Mis datos»

How do you automate it with BookCheckin? Step by step
1Register on SES Hospedajes
Registering your establishment is a step you take with the Ministry; BookCheckin cannot do it for you.
2Save your details on the property
On the property’s Legal tab you paste the web-service username and password, the lessor code and the establishment code. The credentials are stored encrypted.
3Press «Test Connection»
It checks that the username and password work against the Ministry. It is required before you can create check-in links.
4Send the check-in link
You create it by hand or sync it from your PMS or the iCal calendar, and the guest receives it by email or WhatsApp.
5The guest completes their details
On their phone they scan their ID card, NIE or passport, review their details and sign.
6The report goes out on its own
When all the guests on the booking have finished, BookCheckin files the report with SES Hospedajes and keeps the batch code. If you prefer to review it first, you can switch off automatic sending on the property.
7If SES rejects it
The dashboard shows the exact text the Ministry returns, next to the guest concerned, so you can correct the detail and send again.

In Catalonia and the Basque Country the traveller register is not filed with SES Hospedajes: it goes to the region’s own police.
