The traveller report: what it is and how to file it
The traveller report (parte de viajeros) is the mandatory reporting of your guests’ data to the authorities. Here is what it is, how it has changed, and how to do it in minutes.
In short
The parte de viajeros (traveller report) is the mandatory reporting of your guests’ identity and stay data to the authorities, within 24 hours of check-in. Since Royal Decree 933/2021 it is filed through the Ministry of the Interior’s SES Hospedajes platform; in Catalonia and the Basque Country it goes to the regional Mossos d’Esquadra and Ertzaintza registries. There is no longer any need to visit a police station — filing is digital.
What is the traveller report?
The traveller report — known in Spain as the parte de viajeros — is the mandatory reporting of the data of people staying at a tourist establishment to the relevant authorities.
Its purpose is public safety: it lets law-enforcement bodies know who is staying at each accommodation in the country.

From Webpol and Hospederías to SES Hospedajes
For years, the traveller report was filed through systems such as Webpol (National Police) or Hospederías (Civil Guard), or even on paper at the police station.
With the effective entry into force of RD 933/2021, those systems have been replaced by the single SES Hospedajes platform of the Ministry of the Interior. In regions with their own police force, reports go to Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalonia) or Ertzaintza (Basque Country).

How the traveller report is done today
The traditional process means collecting each guest’s data, identifying their document, completing the form, and submitting it to the relevant system within 24 hours of arrival.
Doing it by hand for every reservation is slow and error-prone, especially when managing several properties or simultaneous arrivals. If you collect data on paper, at least use a sheet with every Annex I field so none is left blank.
