BookCheckin does not connect directly to Booking.com — there is no official integration with its API. Your Booking.com reservations arrive in one of two ways: through your PMS — Amenitiz, Cloudbeds, Hostaway or Lodgify, which have native integrations and sync whichever channels you have connected — or by creating the check-in link yourself from the dashboard in seconds. Or connect your listing's calendar: Booking.com publishes an iCal (.ics) export URL, and adding it on the property's "Calendar sync" tab brings your reservations into the dashboard with no PMS at all — checked automatically every 30 minutes, on every paid plan, Basic included.
From there the flow is automatic: the guest completes registration before arrival, uploads their document, the AI scans it, and they sign digitally. BookCheckin files the traveller report with SES Hospedajes within the legal deadline.
Catalonia (Mossos d’Esquadra) and the Basque Country (Ertzaintza) each run their own police registry: for both, BookCheckin prepares the official file and you upload it to their portal. Everywhere else in Spain the SES Hospedajes submission is automatic.

Does BookCheckin have a direct Booking.com integration?+
No. There is currently no direct connection to the Booking.com API. BookCheckin has native integrations with the Amenitiz, Cloudbeds, Hostaway and Lodgify PMSs: if your PMS has Booking.com connected, those reservations flow into BookCheckin on their own. Without a PMS, you create the check-in link manually in seconds.
Do I need a PMS to use BookCheckin with Booking.com?+

Does the guest have to download an app?+
No. Check-in is completed from the phone browser, with nothing to install.
Does this flow meet Spanish regulations?+
Yes. BookCheckin captures every field required by RD 933/2021 and files it with SES Hospedajes.
Can I connect Booking.com without a PMS?+
Yes, through Booking.com's iCal calendar export. One difference from Airbnb: a Booking.com calendar mixes real reservations with your own manual calendar blocks, and the export does not distinguish them. So BookCheckin queues each new entry for you to confirm as a real booking or dismiss as a block, rather than creating reservations you did not make. The calendar is checked automatically every 30 minutes; "Sync now" checks it immediately.
