Best guest registration apps in Spain (2026): an honest comparison

Sergio Ruano Madrid··9 min

We compare the main traveller-report tools for Spain in 2026 — BookCheckin, Chekin, Check-in Scan, Partee and Civitfun — by starting price, property minimums, report cancellation support and sign-up model. With public data and its sources.

How we compared

We are BookCheckin, so let us say it up front: this is our comparison and we appear in it. That is exactly why we have backed every figure with public, verifiable sources and avoided inventing competitor numbers. Where a provider does not publish a figure clearly, we mark it as “per their website” or “on request” rather than filling it in by guesswork.

We chose four criteria that genuinely matter to a host or manager who just wants to comply with the traveller report without overcomplicating things: the starting price, the property minimum they force you to contract, whether they let you cancel or correct a report already filed, and whether you can sign up on your own or have to go through a sales demo.

Public sources as of July 2026: Chekin pricing page (Basic from €3.95/property/month, Premium min. 3 units, Enterprise min. 20), Partee Google Play listing (free month, ~€1.49/month), and Check-in Scan and Civitfun websites. BookCheckin

Our offer is built for the small and mid-size host who loses time on the manual traveller report today. Pricing starts at €3 per property per month with no property minimum: you can start with a single one. The trial is three months completely free.

Two differences we tend to highlight: you can cancel and correct a report already filed to SES Hospedajes — something we use daily in production — and sign-up is self-service, with no sales call. Filing to SES Hospedajes is automatic and we keep the proof of submission.

Chekin, Check-in Scan, Partee and Civitfun

Chekin is the largest player in the sector. Per its pricing page, the Basic plan starts at €3.95 per property per month, but the Premium plan requires a minimum of 3 units and Enterprise a minimum of 20, plus fees on deposits and upselling. It is a powerful option for large operators; for a host with one or two properties, those minimums and its more sales-led model weigh. In public reviews on platforms such as Capterra, some users mention difficulty reaching support; treat those as third-party opinions, not absolute fact.

Check-in Scan is heavily focused on document scanning and SES Hospedajes reporting, and publishes prices on its website. Partee works as a mobile app with a freemium model (a free month and then a low fee, around €1.49/month per its Google Play listing), appealing for someone handling very few bookings from their phone. Civitfun is geared to hotels and chains, with a consultative sales approach and pricing on request; it fits large operations better than an individual host.

How to choose for your case

  • One or a few properties and you want to start with no commitment: prioritise no property minimum and a long, real trial.
  • You make mistakes when filing and need to fix them: check that the tool lets you cancel and correct reports already filed, not just send them.
  • You do not want to depend on a salesperson: look for self-service sign-up so you can set it up yourself today.
  • You run a hotel or a large chain: consider platforms built for that volume, even if they involve a demo and custom pricing.
  • Very few bookings, all from your phone: a freemium app may be enough, as long as it truly files to SES Hospedajes.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best app for the traveller report in Spain?+

It depends on your case. For a host with one or a few properties who wants to start with no minimums and a long trial, BookCheckin fits well (from €3/property/month, no minimum, three months free, with live report cancellation). For hotels and large chains, platforms such as Civitfun or Chekin’s higher plans may suit better. Compare starting price, minimums, cancellation and sign-up model.

How much does Chekin cost?+

Per its pricing page, Chekin’s Basic plan starts at €3.95 per property per month, Premium requires a minimum of 3 units and Enterprise a minimum of 20, plus fees on deposits (1.5% + €0.30) and upselling (10%). Always confirm the terms on their website, as they may change.

Are there free apps for the traveller report?+

The official SES Hospedajes portal is free. Among apps, Partee has a freemium model (free month and then a low fee) and BookCheckin offers a three-month completely free trial. It is worth checking which features sit behind a paywall in each case.

What is report cancellation and why does it matter?+

It is the ability to void or correct a report already filed to SES Hospedajes — for example if you got a field wrong or the guest count changed. It is an important feature and not every tool documents it; BookCheckin offers it live.

Is the data in this comparison up to date?+

It is based on public sources as of July 2026 (each provider’s pricing pages and store listings). Prices and terms may change, so always confirm on each tool’s official website before deciding.
